It feels like I’ve been doing all sorts of activities these past three weeks. There have been many opportunities to go on hikes, try new foods, explore more of the city, relax at the house, experience Kasese’s nightlife, play with the local children, ride with the Boda Bodas (motorcycle taxis), etc. In all honesty, living here has been quite an adjustment. Adapting to the culture, climate, and regulations has presented a number of challenges and/or inconveniences, but at the same time, it has offered many great experiences as well.
A couple weekends ago, our group went on a beautiful hike to a waterfall that I’ve hiked to before. Lotte, (my friend, who is also in the tourism project) and I were the guides since we’ve now taken this hike a few times.
